Time for another yarn along with Ginny.
It is getting almost too hot to knit now and to avoid having a pile of woolens in my lap I am knitting small things like slippers for the Pink Slipper Project. I am still working on using up all yarn that was left over from other projects, has been given to me, was re-purposed other bought without a specific project in mind and I am finding out that I seem to have an awful lot of that kind. ;-)
We are re-reading the five books in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy.

I have not heard to the books you are reading either. I will have to add them to my list. I'm knitting small because of the heat too!
Just found your blog through Ginny's Yarn Along, and enjoyed browsing through it. I love your habit of visiting the farmer's market once a week. That meat and produce you're bringing home looks irresistably good and makes me want to find a local market. It was also interesting seeing your description of food and grocery shopping in Vienna in earlier decades. I studied there for a semester in college, and, while I loved the city, you're right - most food is in grocery stores and supermarkets.
I am also trying to finish up the yarn I don't LOVE in my stash to make room for what I do. Only problem I keep finding more projects I want to do that Need different yarns. Trying to be good. I love the Hitchhiker's guide!
Douglas Adams is so fun. I read these books quite a while ago..worth revisiting maybe.
I love the quilt in this picture!
I'm a new follower. You can check out my blog here http://lacafetiere.blogspot.com/
I like the idea of using up left over yarn from other project! Yours look great.
Those books are my husband's favorite books. My sister just dropped off a box of acrylics she didn't want. I have no clue what to make with them, so I'm considering an afghan project that is portable.
I've just read the first Hitchiker's Guide book...it was such an odd experience because so many elements of it have seeped into popular culture. It was odd to read the source of all these references after the fact, ya know? :)
There is nothing like having wool in your lap while you're knitting on a warm day to make you want to chuck it aside for cooler yarn.
