My weekend contained:

Picking lots of raspberries.

The library book sale.

A trip to the farmers market and the first peaches of the season.

Also a lot of reading and eating and a new knitting project, but more about that later.

Wednesday

Don't y'all faint now! I am not knitting anything at the moment. I am between projects, out of yarn and out of money. I got some projects around the house and garden to work on and of course, there are 99 cats to be taken care of (at least it feels like that many sometimes). I am also planning on some sewing in the nearest future and I am doing a lot of reading. My hands are thankful for the knitting break.
We had a lot of rain recently and the raspberries seem to love that. I am picking lots of them every other day, unfortunately the weeds also love the rain. But the garden is really green at the moment.
I pulled some of my garlic this morning out of curiosity. It smells good and I am thinking of using it fresh as it is. It is still a bit small, I am leaving the others in the ground a few more months. Here is what I picked this morning - radishes, spinach, raspberries, chives and garlic.

Knitting

I have finished several projects over the past few weeks but to be honest, I was too lazy to try and get photos of them. Today was a bright and sunny morning and so I dragged them outside for some pictures that would hopefully show the true colors of the yarn
The first one is the "Old Man of Stor Shawl". I have posted about it already but the indoor photos did not really show the yarn colors well.

This is "Simply Hilary". Not yet blocked. I am still trying to come up with a way to block my shawls without the cats getting involved.

And one more "Wool Peddler's Shawl" knitted with re-purposed yarn.

I am also trying out a new dishcloth pattern.

Pin Cushion

The item to make for the Sewing-Room-Sew-Along in April was a pin cushion. I tried to keep with my colors and cat theme and came up with this one.
