Haekeldecke 2015 - March Progress

I managed to add 23 squares to my blanket this month, I had hoped for one per day but I ran out of the border yarn and my wrist was not always cooperating.

Ich habe 23 Quadrate fuer meine Decke im Maerz gehaekelt, ich haette gerne eines pro Tag geschafft, aber mir ist die beige Wolle ausgegangen und mein Handgelenk war auch nicht immer kooperativ.

New Socks

I surprised myself today and actually finished something. My "January" socks are finished, I can't believe it took almost three months, but my wrist is finally getting better and I can knit again, as long as I don't overdo it.

Sewing

Lovely, sunny day today. I spent the morning with a bit of sewing. I made a Kindle case for Del, two fat quarters a piece of batting and an hour of work. Very clear instructions and very easy to make. Tutorial can be found here.

And then I sewed the borders onto my cross stitch pieces.

Now I am off to do some baking.

Early Spring around the Garden

The purple crocus always show up after the yellow ones are gone.

What is left of my lilac bush makes an effort. Most of it got destroyed in the ice storm last year.

The herb garden, horehound, chives, lavender and sage made it through the Winter.

More fabric auditions

Trying to decide on the border for the March stitchery, the colors are actually a little brighter than in the pictures, it is a rainy day and there is not much natural light to be had.

Stitching

I have discovered that I can do cross stitch while wearing a wrist brace, so this is what I have been doing these last few days.

I finished Cashmere Camel, adorable advent animal #6

and February from Palko's calendar. I have decided to use the stars and snowflakes fabric for January.

Still no knitting but my wrist is starting to get better.
