I love food and I love cooking and I am having a lot of fun visiting all the lovely kitchens in this blog hop.
So, without further delay, here are some highlights from another week in my kitchen, which is always the busiest on weekends.
From the Garden
Lunch for one.
A new batch of pickles, the first one is ready to move to the fridge.
Couscous with herbs, tomatoes and feta.
Sunday Lunch. I was sorting through my collected recipes and came across a 'Cuban-Style Chicken'. I tweaked the recipe a bit (I added garlic, hot sauce, cumin, a little orange juice and sugar to the beans, I also skipped the cilantro and kept the rice plain) and it turned out quite tasty.

It's it great to eat from the garden? I love it.
Your pickles look really good. I didn't make any this summer, but have plans to put up a few batches from the fall garden.
Your lunch looks scrumptious and the pickles too. I am a bit obsessed with dill pickles at the moment. They always remind me of when we first got married and used to do the fresh vegetable and fruit produce shop together on Saturday morning. Then we would buy dill pickles, Polish ham, fresh baguettes, wine slice cake with marzipan and piroshki doughnuts from a little Polish deli and then go home and make lunch with them. Those were the days.
Thanks for letting us peep into your kitchen.

Isn't this time of year the best? Being able to go outside and come in with at least part of a meal - my favorite. :-)
My son is a huge fan of pickles...he would be jealous of your batch.
All looks delicious.
We are just starting harvesting homegrown veg, need to keep an eye on the courgettes...one looks like a mini submarine this morning!
