Mary from GA, thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment. I cannot answer your questions directly so I thought I just write them into a new post instead.

I am getting most of my craft patterns off the internet these days. There are so many generous people out there, freely sharing their patterns and designs. The little cross stitch cats can be found here for example and she shares a lot of other free patterns as well. I still have a lot of books and magazines from back when I could afford to actually buy them and I do use them for inspiration as well.

How do I keep my cats from jumping on the kitchen counter? Well, I don't. They are not that interested to be up there at all. They use the far right corner to get up on their perch by the pantry window, but some of them even climb up the shelf directly like little monkeys. And when I am cooking they are usually not even in the kitchen, they found out at a very young age that sometimes the fumes in the kitchen burn their eyes. I was cooking onion one day when they were still kittens and they came running towards the kitchen and then stopped at the doorway as if they had hit a wall. I guess they just don't like onion all that much. They will come running when I open a can of tuna but they don't jump on the counter, they just rub around my legs and meow up a storm until they get a little bit of it. They really are great cats and don't cause a lot of trouble.

Well, I hope that answers your questions. It being Monday, I have a busy day of housework ahead of me and hope to get a little bit of sewing in later. It is raining cats and dogs here and the temperature is dropping quite dramatically, we are under a winter weather advisory, starting at noon. Yuck, and I was so hoping this would be over.

I wish your cats could have a little talk with Miss Bette Davis. She comes running when she hears me in the kitchen and if I'm not watchful she will try to take a little sampling of whatever I am preparing. Naughty kitty.
