Weekend

I had a very nice weekend with just the right balance of work and play. There was some fall cleaning and gardening, movie watching, knitting and reading and as always, lots of yummy food.

Saturday I used the last of our tomatoes on a pizza and baked some soft pretzels.

Earlier in the week I had baked a raisin bread and popped it in the freezer. We enjoyed some of it for Sunday breakfast.

Sunday lunch was our own little Oktoberfest with Bavarian bratwurst, sauerkraut and my homemade soft pretzels, there even was some German beer (have I ever mentioned how happy I am that we have an ALDI in town?).

I made some progress on my Hogwarts Express but neglected to take a picture. I am getting ready for the increase row and then it is on to the owls. I have never knitted with beads before and I am really looking forward to trying it.

I have a full week ahead and am actually looking forward to getting a lot of things done. The weather is cool and sunny, Sunday morning we had a whooping 39 degrees, today it was 45. A bit early maybe but as long as it is dry I take it.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

I have so been enjoying this cooler weather, it's moving out for a few days, but at least the humidity is down.
Your photo of the pizza is beautiful. I picked up the ingredients to make pizza's here this week [we can't get delivery].
I hope you are enjoying a beautiful Monday.

this kind of weather makes me quite productive. Today I'll be chopping the last of the peppers from the garden and freezing them. Your pizza looks delicious!
