Surge of Creativity

Here are a few things I made recently.

A cotton shawl for myself.

A small wall hanging made from orphan quilt blocks.

A tote bag for Rhonda's tote bag swap.

And here is the tote bag I got from my swap partner Coleen. Isn't it pretty? I love blue and yellow together. Since I think it is way too nice to be used for shopping I used it to carry my stuff to knitting class. :)

I also hand quilted the little "antique" (tea dyed) quilt,

and basted the new baby quilt, I hope to have it finished by the end of the week.

And I started knitting a sweater for Del.

Progress on our garden was halted by heavy rains recently and one of the cats that roam our garden has decided she would like to meet Miss K. who is not at all happy about the little intruder. The cat hangs around our back door all the time and when Kitty is in the mud room she jumps up on the car port roof and carries on like crazy to get Kitty's attention. She also sleeps on our car which is now covered in muddy paw prints. :-)

Despite all the creative things I got done I was feeling really weird all week long, uneasy and restless and very irritable and cranky. Might be the weather, all that rain gives me cabin fever. I hope I will be able to get back into my quiet rhythm of things this week, catching up on laundry and doing some baking and sewing and knitting and reading. And hopefully, some gardening.

Maria,
I just got my tote, I love it! Can't wait to use it. Thanks for taking the pictures of both totes.
Thanks again!
