We extended it a little since I bought a few more tomato plants than we had room for. There are three kinds of zucchini, at least 6 different varieties of tomatoes, jalapenos, banana peppers, japanese eggplants, bush beans, pickling cucumbers, bush cucumbers, delicata squash, radishes, carrots, beets, parsnips, lettuce, spinach and various herbs and flowers.
Here is to a good gardening year and plentiful crops!

An Old Friend
I planted this bearded iris when we first moved into the house, almost 8 years ago and every year it gives me an exquisite bloom.

Hakeldecke 2015 - April Progress
I managed to add 21 squares to my blanket in April. I am all out of leftover yarn and I am beginning to buy new colors. I really wanted to add some orange and next month I will add more green. The total is now 57 squares and I have no idea yet how many more I will need to make.
Here you can see the other blankets in the making.

Happy First Day of May!
“Sweet May hath come to love us,
Flowers, trees, their blossoms don;
And through the blue heavens above us
The very clouds move on.”

New Socks and a Cross Stitch Project
I finished my May socks a little ahead of time and the next pair is already on the needles.
And I started a cross stitch project with a Scandinavian Christmas theme.
Nothing much blogworthy going on around here at the moment, just everyday life, putting one foot in front of the other and trying not to get tripped up by the not so good things that are happening. It is still way too cold for my taste and I am beginning to wonder when it will start getting warmer. I hope to get the rest of the garden planted this weekend.

New place mats and spring trees
I made some new place mats.
The trees around the garden are so fresh and green right now, delightful! And the little dogwood tree across the way is in bloom. Finally Spring!

Around the garden
Spring has sprung! After a whole week of rain, today is finally sunny and everything is soooo green, I can't get enough of it, even the weeds are pretty. The garden is ready for planting and today the first round of seeds is going in.
