Feline Friday

Meet Lilly and Midnight.

It turned out that the cat had two more kittens hidden somewhere in our yard. Last weekend she brought them out and left them in our carport. Not a good place to be for a kitten. So kitten rescue operation II went into action and here we are. They were just a bit feral when we first brought them inside so we kept them away from everything until their playpen arrived and they moved in right next to their brothers. I gave them the box to hide in, just in case, but they soon decided it was more fun to be on top of the box. The first night was tough, they meowed a lot and we ended up putting them back in the den. Second night - all quiet. They are getting used to us now and this morning Midnight let me take him out of the pen and cuddle him and he seemed to enjoy it. Lilly is a bit of wild child with a lot of 'tortitude' already, but she is hissing less and less and playing with the toys I gave them and her brother. The have seen the vet on Monday and apart from worms they are healthy. We gave them their meds and in two weeks they go in for their first round of shots.
Yes, I know, we are crazy, but now we have a full dozen and that is it. (I hope, or we're gonna need a bigger house).
