I am making a blanket with leftover sock yarn too. I am knitting my squares from the center out and then adding two rows of black single crochet.
What beautiful, happy colors! It will be great to curl up with on a cold, dreary day. Actually, it's cool here today and dreary but just not cool enough to need a blanket. Hope you are having a happy Independence Day!
