Our not so little ones are three years old today. And they are having fun with their gifts.

Fall Feast
We celebrated the beginning of my favorite season with a little feast this weekend.
Pork chops, sweet potatoes, green beans, baked acorn squash and corn bread muffins. Apple cranberry crisp for dessert and a few late flowers from the garden.

My September Heart
September is "Cat Birthday Month" at our house so I decided to make this month's heart a cat themed one. Mr. Leo approves.

Mug Rugs
I found myself in a bit of a mood during the past week, no idea why, maybe the seasons are changing a little too fast, but today I am feeling much better and I made two mug rugs that will become a gift.

Friday Night With Friends - Finishes
I finished three projects tonight during FNWF!
A crochet owl basket. I just needed to attach the eyes and the beak. (The pattern for it can be found here.)
The birthday gifts for my cats, big toys for big cats, stuffed with catnip. They needed the loose threads taken care of.
And a dishcloth for Halloween. I plan on using it for something other than a dishcloth though. (Pattern can be found here.)

Long Weekend
Summer wanted to proof that he is not done yet. Goodness, it was hot. And for some reason the house feels hotter than it did all Summer long. Needless to say my weekend did not go as planned. I had planned a crafty weekend with plenty of knitting and sewing and stitching. Well, instead we did our grocery shopping (there might have been a tiny bit of yarn shopping as well) and then spent the rest of the time watching Doctor Who, playing games and reading.
There was a little bit of knitting with cotton yarn, the only one that will slide through my fingers at these temperatures. It is a dishcloth pattern but I am going to use it for something else. The color is a lovely deep dark orange but it just did not come out right in the photos.
The tomato plants look rather done in by now but I am still getting some tomatoes off of them.
According to the weather forecast we are looking at some very hot days for the rest of the week and then a cool down. Hopefully! There are lots of projects waiting to be worked on.
Have a great rest of the week everyone!
