The early bird gets the worm

Or in this case: The early gardener gets to see the wonders of nature, like this newly hatched cicada I spied as I went to water the garden this morning.

Stitching

My current cross stitch projects, all still a bit wrinkled and not yet squared, it is way too hot to drag out the iron.

Pearly Pig, the next advent animal.

More Socks

Summer is stretching his hot and sticky fingers towards us and the only knitting that is happening at the moment is socks. I love knitting socks, almost instant gratification. Here is my latest pair, hot off the needles.

Haekeldecke 2015 - May Progress

Well, I had a good start but then a lot of stuff came between me and my hook and so I only finished 13 squares this month. It also means there is plenty of yarn left for June. :-)

Ich hatte einen guten Start mit einem Quadrat pro Tag, dann ist mir allerdings viel dazwischen gekommen und es sind nur 13 Quadrate geworden. Aber immerhin, es ist genug Wolle uebrig fuer Juni. :-)

Here you can see the other blankets in progress.

New Month - New Socks

I finished another pair of socks. This time they are purple Skyp Socks. Pattern can be found on Ravelry, yarn is Lion Brand Sock-Ease in grape soda.
