Say hello ...
... to my new best friends.
I have been suffering from cold feet for as long as I can remember. Once the temperature falls below 60 or so, my toes turn into icicles and stay that way until the next Summer. And when I go to bed with cold feet I cannot sleep. So I set out to find something other than a hot water bottle (not a good idea with lots of sharp kitty claws around) to warm up the bed and I found this little foot warming pad. It works so well, I did not wake up until 8 am today (we had our first frost last night). And the new slippers are for keeping my toes toasty during the day (combined with wool socks). I am ready for Winter!

Current Projects
There is a lot of hand stitching going on around here at the moment, mostly Christmas projects.
All three patterns are available for free here, here and here.
I have also been playing around with the recently orphaned blocks of my 'Women of the Bible Quilt'. I have decided to stop working on it and use the blocks I already have for a wall hanging. To be honest, I lost interest in it because there are so many other things I want to do and these blocks were very time consuming.
In between I am knitting squares for a future blanket.
And as always at my house there was some cooking and baking happening.
I was feeling a bit under the weather last week and totally forgot to do the 'A Day in My Life' post, sorry, I thought 'hanging around, trying to feel better' did not really make for an exciting blog entry. I will pick it up again next month.

Feline Friday
Double Precious.
Just a little add-on to let everybody know that her fluff is just that, a lot of medium length fur, not fat. And her fluffiness is very misleading, she hates to be picked up and does not like to be touched much, except when she wants her head scratched.

Feline Friday
Miss Maggie busy counting all the falling leaves.
Miss Brownie not happy to have her nap disturbed for a photo.
Mr. Leo, the master sleeper. He looks so comfortable, no matter where or in which position he sleeps.

Another Finish
I just finished a pair of fingerless mitts. The pattern is free and can be found HERE. They were really quick and easy to make.
